Kent Dunbar

Sixteen Year Old Kent is the son of Rod and Jalena Dunbar. Although he only started showing with Greater Oklahoma in 2007, he is not new to horseback at all. His first horse ride was when he was just a toddler and his parents threw him up on the back of a horse. His first horse's name was 'Half Dollar' which has been his favorite horse of all time. His dad, being a horse trainer, had alot to do with Kent entering the show ring and competing. In 2006 and 2007, Kent won the PtHA Youth Reining Horse of the Year award. In 2008, he brought home a buckle from the PtHA World Show when he won the Youth Reining Reserve World Championship. Kent's life will always include horses if he has his way about it, his goal in life is to be a horse trainer or bronc rider. Kent says his dad, Rod Dunbar, has been the most influential person in his life.
