GOPHC "Spot" Light Member

Ben Cramer

GOPHC would like for everyone to meet a very active member, Ben Cramer. Ben has been around horses for as long as he can remember. He started roping when he was seven years old and won his first buckle when he was nine in Breakaway Roping. He was successfully active in the NYRA and USTRC and roped in the USTRC finals in 1992. He was 3rd in the Bushyhead Pasture Roping in 1999. He would like to thank his dad for always keeping him interested in horses and providing him with great horses to rope off of. Ben has broke and trained roping horses since he was a young boy and that interest has continued through his adulthood.

In 2004 his interest began to turn to Halter horses as well and in 2006 he married Tammie and he started showing Halter horses. He feels very blessed to have the opportunity to show some really great Halter horses, like, 'Secured N Awesome', 'Shes One Cool Heiress', 'Stategic Clu' and 'Brokers Sir Sheila', he says actually every horse he has had the opportunity to show has been a great one. Ben and Tammie own Big City Performance Horses and utilize their strenths in different ways to make it a success. While Tammie works at fitting, training, and preparing horses, Ben is very proud to present her hard work to the judges. Additionally, he is grateful to everyone that has had the faith in his showmanship and allow him to show their horses.
Ben's goal is to continue to show horses and continue to rope and possibly move into cutting horses as well. Ben has a true love for all horses, but his favorite will always be his APHA Buckskin Stallion, 'Big City Jack'. They make several trips a year together to Colorado to Elk hunt and to just enjoy the mountains, they also work ranch cattle together. Ben spends his non-horse time doing concrete construction, for Cramer Concrete, in Bartlesville OK . And spending time with his family. Ben feels everyone should experience the horse industry and all it has to offer.
